Dear Give2TheTroops,
We are truly grateful and thankful for everything that you have done for us.
I hope you enjoy the pictures I included of us with the prayer boxes you sent.

My God
Box and My Prayer Box, by Heavenly Wood Works, are unique tools that are an intensely personal declaration of the power of hope.
These are places to lock your worries, to be free of "debts
that may never have to be paid". Alternatively, they are places in which one can secure keepsakes or verses that have
special meaning.
Our boxes are about gathering images and/or
words that allow us to pursue seemingly elusive dreams, recognizing that we are never truly alone. My God Box and My Prayer Box represent
faith, which is a force that allows one to believe in things
that they cannot see or experience in a tangible way.
My God
Box and My Prayer Box are convenient 5"L x 3 ˝"D x 2"H wooden boxes that comes
in two attractive shades. They will fit
in with the décor of any home. "My God Box" or "My Prayer Box" is written with elegant lettering on the top of the box. When the box
is opened, the poem is displayed on a picture of delicate
clouds.

This is
a testimonial from the Mother in the KVBC News article.
"I wanted to take this
opportunity to tell you of the impact your God box had my
family and I. Last year, June 3rd, to be exact, my 8 yr
old son, Ryan, was admitted to St. Rose hospital to undergo
surgery for a cancerous brain tumor. We had discovered this
by a CAT scan 5 days earlier, and our lives definitely took
a turn. As Christians, we had a huge prayer chain going,
had him blessed, and prayed over, and basically, as a mother,
I pleaded with God to keep my son here with me on earth.
As 5:00 am rolled around on that day, my son was taken to
the operating room to begin the 7 hour surgery. They would
open his skull, and remove as much of the tumor as they
could. Then, when he healed, we would start the radiation
and or chemotherapy. My entire family lives here, and of
course, they were at the hospital with me. Some brought
flowers, the church, a prayer blanket. Others brought magazines,
and all brought prayers. My youngest, and favorite, brother
gave me the "My God Box." Inside was the saying
that I needed to let God do the rest. I held the box in
my hand, with a prayer cloth inside, and stayed silent,
in prayer, until around 11:30am. The doctor came out and
took my husband and I back to the recovery room. There was
our little angel, perfect, healthy, with no tumor, no cancer.
Our prayers were answered. My God Box sits in my office,
and I touch it daily. It still have my tissues, prayer cloth,
and a lock of my son's hair inside. We were called this
past March to tell our miracle story to Channel 3 news.
WE were happy to spread God's word, and pleased to show
them our "God Box." It has meant a great deal
to us. I will save it for my son, until he is older, and
give it to him to have in his family. Thanks Marlena for
your good work. It touches lives and helps heal spirits.
God Bless!" -
